Avalon Presentation
Many of us know the recreational use of psychedelics, and some of us have experienced them at parties and celebrations; most likely, music was present. However, these substances that exist naturally in nature have been used by humans for thousands of years in ceremonial contexts. This ritualistic use of origin has been largely forgotten and has remained residual in today’s Western society. In this use transition, critical components and benefits have been gone. The essence has been lost.
In this talk, we will address different questions about experiences with psychedelics: What types of natural psychedelics exist? In what ancient traditions are they used? With what intention do ancestral traditions ingest psychedelics in their rituals? What are the differences between ceremonial and recreational use? Are there similarities? For what reasons are set and setting important? What is the impact of music on the psychedelic experience? How can psychedelics help us improve our well-being?
