We’re thrilled to unveil the 2024 agenda for the Future Music Forum: Barcelona. This year’s stand out features include a series of mini summits which will include an exceptional array of keynote speakers, panels, demo’s & workshops, and ample networking opportunities that are not to be missed.
Our focus includes our Holistic Day (how to manage sustainable music career, addressing mental health in the industry, exploring the latest trends, and delving into new technologies) Our specially curated FMF AI Mini Summit, partner summits with the likes of MIDiA Research, Beatdapp, EMMA & the inaugurial FMFElectronic. Join us for three exhilarating days of discussions, workshops, and musical experiences in the stunning city of Barcelona.
Day 1 – Holistic Day / Opening Party
In an effort to prioritize the well-being and holistic development of individuals in this fast-paced industry, FMF dedicates the first day, September 25th, as the “Holistic Day”
The 3rd Annual Holistic Day is a special event within the FMF that focuses on sustainability efforts the music industry is making & the integration of wellness and mindfulness practices within the music industry, aiming to enhance creativity, productivity, and overall well-being in the sector.

Day 2 – Mini Summits/FMF Live
This year the FMF is partnering with some of the world’s leading companies, consultants & organisations to bring you an unrivaled conference program. Our longstanding collaboration with MIDiA Research continues with the return of the MIDiA Summit.
We are also delighted to announce our partnership with Beatdapp’s mini-summit which will delve into the intricacies of streaming fraud detection with three illuminating sessions.
On stage 2 we continue our tradition of focus on artist management. We are delighted to announce our partnership with EMMA (European Music Managers Association) who are co-curating a summit. With this summit we aim to examine the areas in which managers are lacking support, platform role models and have open discussions about how managers can encourage change within the industry.
The FMF AI Summit: Curated by Gareth Deakin & Maarten Walraven
Our aim with the summit is to provide a platform for discourse around AI and music that bridges both the business side and the perspective of artists. Too often the dialogue in recent times conference content on this topic skims the surface, infantilizes artists, leans heavily on worn out FUD tropes or gives all the oxygen to the more established mechanics of the music industry. We instead wish to provide a more balanced platform for discourse, one from which a diverse array of speakers and opinions can be shared in an effort to start important discourse on the future of the industry and the culture we wish to sustain
FMFLive: We return to our spiritual home at Sidecar in 2024 where we have seen so many legendary sessions (Brian Jackson & Just a LiveMPC comes to mind)

Day 2 – The Inaugural FMF Electronic Day
The Future Music Forum (FMF) is renowned for its insightful conferences that blend music, technology, and media to chart the future directions of the music industry. This year, we are excited to introduce the inaugural FMF Electronic Day—an entire day dedicated to the vibrant and ever-evolving world of electronic music.
This event will offer a deep dive into the current state of the electronic music industry, exploring emerging trends, technology, production innovations, and market dynamics.
