DJ, Composer, Label and Event Manager
Omnipresent since the early 2000s and pillar of the bass music scene in Lyon, DJ and producer Flore occupies a central place in the panorama of electronic music in France.
Both studio and stage artist, this self-made woman acquired an excellent reputation notably cause of her wicked performances at some of the major european festivals like Glade (UK), Fusion Festival (DE), les Nuits Sonores or les Transmusicales (FR). She has recently been invited to perform on Boiler Room (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6g6jyXD92w / https://www.facebook.com/boilerroom.tv/videos/1422474681131572/ )
With thousands of projects in mind, Flore has lately been very busy working on diverse musical projects. She co-manages a label called POLAAR, on which she has released several eps taken from RITUAL, a musical / video live show she created in 2014 with VJ collective WSK. POLAAR is also a monthly night, running in Paris, Lyon and Clermont-Ferrand, where she had the priviledge to share the stage with Branko (Buraka Som Sistema), dj Marfox (Principe Discos) or Mumdance (Different Circle). She’s actually working a new RITUAL ep, due for september 2018 and a new audio/visual project.
Strongly influenced by South African modern music, Uk bass and techno, Flore’s dj performances are fuelled by tribal energy and psychedelic accents.
First spotted on the drum’n’bass scene in the early 2000s, Flore became known to the general public by her selection in 2003 to the Printemps of Bourges, a massive festival in France. That same year, she released her first EP and did the opening of the first edition of the festival les Nuits Sonores in Lyon, with a huge success.
Will follow a long relationship with les Nuits Sonores Festival (Flore plays on all editions until 2009 and is integrated into their booking agency) and series of gigs in France (Marsatac, Nordik Impakt, Astropolis the Transmusicales, Francofolies, Electron …) and abroad: Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Bosnia – Herzegovina, Hungary, Great Britain, China, Japan …
After a dozen EPs, it is in 2010 that Flore released her first album “Raw” on the UK label Botchit & Scarper.
Critically acclaimed by both international medias and Flore’s peers, RAW marks a decisive turning point in her career as a producer and allows her to collaborate with foreign artists and labels such as the prestigious record companies Man Recordings & Mad Decent, Diplo’s label.
In 2013, Flore launches a new collaboration called RITUAL, a music/video performance talking about Sacred Music.
In 2016, Flore became an Ableton Certified Trainer, the first woman in France to get such technical title.
In 2017, Flore has been invited by Infiné artiste Arandel to collaborate on a creation at la Cité de la Musique.
