The Art of Playlisting
Want to know really how to work the playlists on Spotify. This panel is about how the independent work the playlists and how they see how the market has changed. Between the speakers they have over 1 billion streams on Spotify, how did they work the playlists.
Here are some of the questions I will go through with my panelists (inside here is the answer that we will talk about):
Is the numbers on Spotify really that important? And if they are how do you affect them? (we are more and more seeing that the numbers is not working for anything).
Do:s and don’t around playlists. (Don’t by ads and don’t by fake streams)
Can you do marketing outside Spotify to reach playlists on Spotify. (The case of Joel Adams and facebook ads)
How influential is the bloggers. (Quite much nothing, but some are going to be)
How fast is the changes inside Spotify and their own channels (talking about the past how certain campaigns was done).
What is needed to get your song even in front of the playlist people (you need to have the right distributor and the right network).
What happened to the playlists of the majors, Filter, Digster etc. (Spotify wants to control it all).
